About Little Engine

Little Engine is a first-of-its-kind automation tool that helps independent service providers — personal trainers, hair stylists, bodyworkers, tutors, dog walkers, coaches, therapists — run their business right from their phones. It wraps scheduling, communication, and payments into a simple text-based experience, and saves providers over 300 hours a year.

Little Engine gives you a dedicated business number, so your personal number stays private. Your clients text that number the way they'd text you — and Little Engine takes it from there.

When a client texts to book a session, Little Engine offers your real openings, confirms the time, and sends reminders so people actually show up. Shift in plans? Rescheduling happens in the same thread, and conflicts are prevented before they reach your calendar.

Payments run on the same rails. Cards are kept on file, charges happen automatically after appointments, and packages are tracked session by session — so you never have to chase a payment or send another late-night payment request.

New clients set themselves up over text too: contact details, payment method, and their first appointment, collected in one conversation without you lifting a finger.

Providers don't pay anything to use Little Engine. A $1 service fee is added to each booking, paid by the client at checkout. No subscription, no monthly fee, no lock-in.

Little Engine is built in Austin, Texas by a team of independent service provider super fans. We grew up as children of providers and friends of practitioners, so we know all about the work that happens behind the work: the calendar jenga, the chasing payments, the late-night Venmo requests.
