All small business owners strive for one thing, cash flow, and there is nothing wrong with that; without cash we would have a failing small business.
However, on top of that, your small business should have a purpose, a reason to exist beyond merely making a profit. A responsibility to the society at large. It inspires employees to work harder, shareholders to participate in a common dream, and creates an atmosphere of hope.
