If Small Business seeks an advantage over bigger competitors, it’s your story. If your customers get to know you better, they will come back and tell their friends to come too. How’d you even think of starting a business? How did you get it going? Did you borrow from Peter to pay Paul? How much blood, sweat and tears went in? Do you have pictures of your biz when it first started or was under construction?

I visited a Thai restaurant and they had a photo album of the “early days”. It was great to flip through and see how far they had come. Point being, don’t be afraid to tell your story. Your customers will feel like part of the family and by extremely loyal.
